Social Actuation of Southern Methodist Educational Network

Southern Methodist Educational Network comprises philanthropical and nonprofit institutions. Institutions like that have social commitment and work through the development of several activities and support in the educational and social assistance fields. With the graduate courses of Methodist University Center and Santa Maria Methodist College , Methodist Network offers free assistance in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Education, Phonoaudiology and Nutrition. These appointments are carried out under the supervision of professionals of each area, in Integrated Clinics, located in Parque Belém Hospital. Americano Methodist School has also assistance actions developed through the project called Co-solidarity. The social acting in the field of education takes place by granting scholarships to destitute students of Southern Methodist Educational Network, guaranteeing consequently access to quality education.

Besides that, Methodist Network provides benefits to its internal clients: teachers, workers and students. The local canteen offers meals at an accessible price and partly subsidized by the institution. The canteen has the direct assistance of nutritionists. In the educational area, it grants scholarships to workers’ and teachers’ children. In the health area, it has a doctor for labor-related assistance who works in the institution.
